What was that you said about Apple not changing things every few years? No more updates means your £1200 machine is now useless for the things you bought it for. No more MacOS updates means no more iTunes updates. I know someone who had a 3 year old iMac they paid £1200 for a few years back and their shiny new iPod wouldn't sync with it because Apple had deemed the iMac to be obsolete so no more MacOS updates for it. Here you are expecting to run the latest Windows OS on hardware that is at best 10 years old and then complaining it doesn't work? And you really think the latest MacOS will run on Apple's own hardware that is 10 years old. Part of me wants to say, go right ahead and hand over 2-3 times the £ to Apple for essentially the same (or inferior) spec (CPU, RAM, gfx etc). I know this is an old thread, but I came across this and when I read comments like this, it makes my blood boil. "I am seriously considering joining several of my relatives, friends and colleagues who have switched to Apple and getting one myself, as Apple don't keep changing things every few years and causing such upheaval!"
